The LendingPoint Story

It All Started with a Question

– How to Provide Access to Fair Credit to Those Who Need It Most?

The FICO-based model of evaluating credit worthiness was broken, leaving behind thousands of deserving consumers. If the FICO model said some consumers were likely to default, LendingPoint wanted to find the other individuals that were deserving of an offer of credit.

Using AI and data models, LendingPoint figured out how to say “YES” to more people.
More customers made LendingPoint’s AI smarter, driving even better models and algorithms. Merchants, Entrepreneurs, and Marketplaces began to embrace our technology to create more possibilities for their customers.

The Way Forward

Through our merchant base growth, e-commerce platform integrations, and commercial finance product development, LendingPoint is expanding our “buy now, pay later” business by introducing “qualify today, buy anywhere” technology. LendingPoint’s on-demand money product and engaging mobile experiences will provide more flexibility and point of sale opportunities for consumers at any point in their journey.
